A travel log and photo sharing from Wuhan and Qingdao. I visited with friends for about 6 days, taking 4 days off plus a 2-day weekend.

Wednesday, May 13, 2026: Right after work, I packed my bags and rushed to Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport. The flight took off at 11:45 PM. On Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 1:40 AM, we arrived at Wuhan Tianhe International Airport and checked into a hotel nearby. During the day, we explored Jianghan Road Walking Street, Lihuangpi Road, and other spots. In the evening, we checked out the Yellow Crane Tower (didn't go inside) and strolled under the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge before finally heading back to the hotel.

Friday, May 15, 2026: We visited Chu River and Han Street, the Hubei Provincial Museum, Optics Valley Square, and other places. In the evening, we headed back to the hotel to pick up our luggage and went to the airport. The flight departed at 11:35 PM, and we landed at Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport at 1:25 AM on Saturday, May 16, 2026, then checked into a hotel near the airport.

Saturday, May 16, 2026 (Noon): We moved to a hotel in the downtown area to check in and drop off our luggage. After that, we went to the Qingdao Ferry Terminal and took a ferry ride around the sea (the weather wasn't great—very foggy, so there wasn't much to see). Then, we wandered around a nearby shopping mall. In the evening, we hit the Taidong Night Market, which was quite bustling (it feels like this night market area is the only lively spot in Qingdao at night, while everywhere else is pretty quiet—maybe there's not much nightlife here?). Finally, we went back to the hotel to rest.

Sunday, May 17, 2026: We visited the Qingdao Catholic Church and strolled around Zhongshan Road before having lunch. In the afternoon, we walked to Zhanqiao Pier Park, followed the coastline all the way to Signal Hill Park, and climbed up to the observation deck to take some photos. After exploring the surrounding area—which includes a Miyazaki-themed anime street—we spent the evening at May Fourth Square, where we watched the light show and enjoyed some seafood.

Monday, May 18, 2026: We visited the Tsingtao Brewery Museum and went to see a movie in the evening (Cold War 1994).

Tuesday, May 19, 2026: Flew back to Shenzhen in the afternoon.

Most of our four days in Qingdao were either foggy or rainy...
