Recently, I purchased an Digital LCR Meter to complete the equipment in my laboratory. I chose the EastTester(杭州中创) ET4410 as it offers a relatively high cost-performance ratio.

I bought it on Pinduoduo for 1,199 yuan(RMB). It seems that the Victor VC4090C is also manufactured by EastTester on an OEM basis.

ET4410 Overview

This series of LCR digital bridges is a component parameter analyzer designed based on the automatic balanced bridge principle, offering a testing bandwidth of 10Hz-100kHz, continuous adjustable frequency, and a basic accuracy of 0.2%. The instrument provides precise and comprehensive measurement and analysis for most components and materials, making it suitable for product development, component inspection, and online product sorting applications.

Product Features:

● Maximum measurement frequency of 100kHz, adjustable in 1Hz steps (ET4410 has 16 fixed frequency points, not continuously adjustable)
● Test level adjustable from 10~2000mV in 1mV steps (ET4410 has 6 fixed levels, not continuously adjustable)
● Supports DC resistance (DCR) and electrolytic capacitor measurement
● Internal bias voltage output from 10mV to 1500mV
● 3.5-inch TFT display with 5-digit accuracy
● Connectivity options include USB Device, RS232 (or 485), Handle, GPIB (optional), USB Host (optional)
● Data logging for maximum, minimum, and average values
● SCPI communication protocol supported
● System settings allow language selection (Chinese or English), buzzer, and screen brightness adjustment
● Basic measurement accuracy of 0.2% (though the manual states 0.1%, which remains unclear)
● Manual and automatic range selection
● Open and short circuit calibration functions
● 5-level sorting comparator and alarm function

Testing

Testing a 5mΩ sampling resistor: the result seems inaccurate, indicating limited accuracy for low-resistance measurements.

Testing a 100mΩ constantan wire: the result is very accurate.

Testing a 13kΩ, 1% accuracy 0805 resistor: the test result is 13.002kΩ, very precise.

Testing a Rubycon 220μF 63V electrolytic capacitor (authenticity unknown) using the electrolytic capacitor mode at a 1kHz test frequency: test result is 212.95μF, D value 0.0931.

Testing a 47nF ceramic capacitor: test result is 47.98nF, D value 0.0142.

Testing a 220μF electrolytic capacitor: test result is 208.1μF, D value 0.0303.

Testing a 22μH toroidal inductor: test result is 22.52μH, Q value 19.72.

Using DCR mode to measure the DC resistance of a 22μH toroidal inductor: test result is 0.009Ω.

Testing the inductance of a 2.5mH isolation transformer coil at a frequency of 100kHz: test result is 2.6366mH, Q value 1.652. Connecting the isolation transformer’s other end to an oscilloscope shows a 100kHz sine wave signal from the LCR meter.

In List Sweep Mode, it seems the ET4410 has a bug as measured values differ from those in regular mode at the same frequency. Customer support acknowledged the bug and provided a firmware update tool: https://blog.zeruns.tech/archives/774.html
